After years of development, the ATSC 3.0 standard is ready to go. ATBA’s Communication Director Lee Miler and Josh Weiss, ATBA Advisory Board Member will present at the National Religious Broadcaster’s Convention in Nashville next Wednesday afternoon.
The attention is now being turned to implementation and deployment as stations and networks actively prepare launch strategies.
“We’ll explore some of the possibilities and plans with the active deployment of ATSC 3.0 services,” according to Miller. “Although the repack has presented challenges for our Low Power Television broadcasters, once the dust settles, LPTV Stations will be able to reap the benefits of this new robust technology.”
“The future is extremely bright for television broadcasters and will require a cooperative effort between LPTV and FPTV stations,” says Weiss. “The goal for this presentation is to educate Christian broadcasters what ATSC 3.0 is and what it means for them.”
The “Next Gen TV: ATSC 3.0 is here!” session is scheduled for 2:00 pm on Wednesday, February 28 in the Ryman C Exhibit Hall Presentation Area at the Opryland Hotel and Convention Center.
