Broadcast Leader, Civic Advocate, and Champion of Local Media Joins National Alliance
The Advanced Television Broadcasting Alliance (ATBA) is proud to welcome Francois Leconte, Chairman of Findal Media & Technology Group, Inc., as the newest member of its Board of Directors.
Based in Sunrise, Florida, Mr. Leconte brings more than two decades of leadership in broadcasting, technology, and community service to the Alliance. Under his direction, Findal Media owns and operates two key Low Power Television (LPTV) stations: WDFL-TV Channel 18, serving the Miami–Fort Lauderdale market, and W11DH-TV Channel 11, broadcasting to the Palm Beach–Fort Pierce DMA. Both stations are known for their strong community focus and diverse programming—hallmarks of Mr. Leconte’s vision to elevate local storytelling and cultural representation through accessible media.
An economist by training, Mr. Leconte is a graduate of Florida International University and a respected alumnus of Leadership Florida Class XXV and Leadership Broward Class XIX, further underscoring his commitment to civic and regional development.
Beyond broadcasting, Mr. Leconte plays an instrumental role in economic advancement and workforce development. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for CareerSource Broward, where he chairs the Employer Services Committee, actively aligning business needs with local talent pipelines.
Mr. Leconte’s work has earned him numerous prestigious honors, including the Robert Wood Johnson Community Health Leadership Award, the Health Foundation of South Florida Concern Award, and the African-American Achievers Award. These accolades reflect his tireless advocacy for public health, equity, and community empowerment.
