Miami, FL (March 6, 2020) – America’s fastest growing news channel is now available in Miami – and you don’t need cable or satellite to receive it.

NewsNet, launched in January 2019, follows a traditional “news wheel” format providing a quick look at the headlines every half hour, and has stayed away from the talk and opinionbased programming that’s become common on most 24-hour news channels. The rapidly growing network is available in 45 markets nationwide – including New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, and now, Miami.

“We’re thrilled to be working with WDFL as we continue to expand our reach,” said Eric Wotila, President of NewsNet, “We’re committed to bringing viewers a no-nonsense look at news – whether or not they subscribe to cable or satellite – and through our agreement with WDFL, we’re excited to be bringing this refreshing approach to newsgathering to
Miami.”

The management of WDFL is equally excited about the new addition to their station’s programing.

“It’s a great pleasure to be joining forces with NewsNet to bring 24-hour news to South Florida,” said Francois Leconte, Chairman and CEO of Paramount Broadcasting Communcation, the owner of WDFL.

In addition to broadcasting NewsNet on its flagship channel – 18.1 – WDFL carries several other networks on its subchannels, providing home shopping, religious, and Spanish language programming to Miami. All of this programming is available for free to viewers watching TV using an antenna.
